Dr. Mark O. Amponsah

Dr. Mark Owusu Amponsah is a psychologist and a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Education and Psychology, University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He obtained BA (sociology with psychology) from the University of Ghana, Legon; MA (educational and differential psychology), University of Munich, Germany; and PhD (educational psychology), University of Manchester, UK. His research areas are educational psychology, social and organizational psychology and stress management (work, marital and academic stresses). Mark has published in a number of refereed journals and conference proceedings including Cypriot journal of education, British journal of education and distance education and teacher’s training in Africa (DETA) proceedings. He has participated and presented papers at conferences both in Ghana and abroad.   He was a Lecturer in Health & Social care and Organizational Behaviour at the Lighthouse Business College Manchester, UK. He is a visiting Lecturer and external examiner at the University of Applied Management, Ghana Campus. He is also a part-time Lecturer at the College of Distance Education (CoDE), University of Cape Coast, Ghana.  Currently he is the Coordinator of the Centre of Educational Research, Evaluation and Development (CERED) which is one of the research hubs within the College of Education Studies, University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
